Medium Rigid Vehicle Driver Training
Medium Rigid is classed as:
Any motor vehicle with two axles and more than 8 tonnes GVM.
Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonnes GVM.
Also includes vehicles in Class LR.
Medium Rigid (MR) licence is one of the most commonly used licence upgrades. It covers a variety of trucks and buses. The upgrade process is relatively easy mainly because of the gearbox configuration.
Designed for drivers who wish to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to obtain Medium Rigid Driver's Licence. Drivers are trained and assessed against the RMS Competency Standards by RMS accredited assessors. After a required standard of competency has been achieved RMS will issue the appropriate licence. Elite Heavy Vehicle Driving School will train the applicant to have the necessary skills required to undertake a competency based assessment conducted by one of our NSW RMS endorsed qualified assessors.
